Is it possible that Old Testament prophecies have an end-time application? Jesus made a curious statement in the Olivet Prophecy. He took the prophecy from Daniel about the abomination of desolation, which the Jews of his day understood to have already taken place in the time of Antiochus Epiphanes, and placed it squarely in the future. What did Jesus mean when he referred to the abomination of desolation? What did Daniel mean? And what about Jesus’ warning that he who reads should understand?
