Romans is easily the most important of all of Paul’s epistles. It is a long letter. It is a detailed letter. It goes into much more careful exposition of Paul’s basic theology. Here’s where we really learn what Paul believes about many critical areas where, if it weren’t for this book, we might have a very difficult time understanding what he has said in many other places.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For in it is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
