This entry is part 3 of 33 in the series The Book of Genesis (Wes White)

The Book of Genesis tells us a great deal about God and his divine character. Chapter one is much like a specific purpose statement that sets the stage for the rest of the Bible. And God is quick to point out that we are created in his image:

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Genesis 1:26–27 KJ2000

If we didn’t have this book, there would be a tremendous void in our understanding of God and what he has planned for mankind.

I’m Ronald Dart. Now let’s listen to part three of Wes White’s study in the Book of Genesis.
