When God created man, the Bible seems to suggest that he leaned back, evaluated what he had done, and concluded that it was very good, indeed. But on reflection, he sees that it was not good for man to be alone. So he took a rib from Adam and made woman and she was called Eve
.
But here is my question: Why a woman? Why not create another man? Why Adam and Eve? Why not Adam and, say, Ralph? Now if you don’t believe in the Bible, then believe in evolution if you must. But you still have to answer the question: Why did Mother Nature give us Adam and Eve?
Looking at the question from either side, we come up with the same problem—and the same answer. Here it is from the Bible, beginning in chapter 2 of Genesis.
