By now, everyone knows that power corrupts. And everyone knows equally as well that money is power. Therefore it is a very short step to realizing that, as churches and ministries increase in money, they increase in corruption.

I can hardly be against making donations to a ministry, because that is the sole means of support of this ministry. And there are many legitimate, honest ministries that are doing good. If a ministry has helped you, then the chances are they are helping others as well and you can support them honestly. But when they start making claims you can’t verify, you should not give to support those claims.

And to those who think there is something new in all this, let’s read a lesson from Peter. In the last letter of his life, he had become royally fed up with the actions of greedy preachers.
