This entry is part 51 of 96 in the series Christian Origins

Do you believe in predestination? And if you do, what sort of predestination? Does a man really have a choice in all this, or has God long ago decided who should be saved and who should be lost?

I think there are people who believe this, but when you start reading their papers on the topic, it isn’t long before you get lost in all the theological jargon. I believe it is okay to bring common sense to table to talk about this, and I believe it is okay to talk about it in simple terms.

Paul is the culprit that posed us this problem in Romans 8, and it is highly doubtful he meant what a lot of people take him to mean.
