Subject: YEA Summer Camp 2010
Description:

July 3, 2009

Attention All Teens,

Summer Camp for 2009 is now over, but it is never too early to begin making plans for 2010.

Summer Camp for 2010 will once again be held at Camp Wewoka Woods, near Wewoka, Oklahoma.  The final dates for camp have not been set yet, but it will probably be June 20 to June 27.

Summer Camp is open to all teens who have reached their thirteenth birthday by the time camp ends and who have not yet reached their nineteenth birthday before camp starts. Summer Camp is also open to all teens, regardless of their church affiliation or that of their parents.

We will once again have all the water programs we have had in previous years as well as continuing as many of the past activities as possible. . We will continue to have many of the activities, such as volleyball and basketball, indoors, out of the heat. And we will, of course, continue the very informative and successful Bible study periods, so come loaded with questions and comments to share.

If you know someone who you think would enjoy coming to camp, be sure to tell them to call, write or e-mail for an application. Please help spread the word, so that all who want to attend will know about camp.

Camp Wewoka Woods raised the fee to $260.00 two years ago, but we anticipate that the tuition fee will remain the same this year. I know this can be difficult for some of you, but we will have a limited scholarship fund to assist those who really want to come to camp and need help. This is not a free give-a-way, you will have to provide some of the funds yourself, but we hope that any teen who really wants to come to camp, will not have to stay away because of a lack of finances.

Remember, we have had to turn down applications in the past because of applying too late, so don't wait until the last minute.  Be sure to put your name on the CEM youth data base for up to the minute updates. A camp application is available for downloading at: http://www.borntowin.net/ApplicationForm.pdf .

Sincerely,

Larry S. Watkins, Camp Director

WHY DO WE USE THE HEBREW CALENDAR?

"And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years" (Genesis 1:14-19).

Nothing God gave to man has been used so consistently for the purpose He intended. Every civilization of man has used the sun, the moon, or both for the demarcation of time. More...
