Subject: YEA Summer Camp 2009
Description:

October 1, 2008

Attention All Teens,

We have finally been able to confirm the dates for the 2009 Summer Camp. I know many of you have already started making plans for the summer and I hope you are able to set aside time for camp. We have not yet started the planning for the camp activities and lessons yet, so if you have any thoughts or suggetions, now is the time to let us know!

Summer Camp for 2009 will once again be held at Camp Wewoka Woods, near Wewoka, Oklahoma. The dates for camp are Sunday, June 21- Sunday, June 28.

Summer Camp is open to all teens who have reached their thirteenth birthday by the time camp ends and who have not yet reached their nineteenth birthday before camp starts. Summer Camp is also open to all teens, regardless of their church affiliation or that of their parents.

If you know someone who you think would enjoy coming to camp, be sure to tell them to call, write or e-mail for an application. Please spread the word, so that all who want to attend will know about camp.

At this time the camp fee will still be $260.00 per camper, but there is a slight possibility it might go up $5 - $10.  I know this can be difficult for some of you, so starting making plans now and set aside some extra funds.  As always, we will have some scholarship funds to assist those who really want to come to camp and need help. This is not just a free give-a-way, you will have to provide some of the funds yourself, but we hope that any teen who really wants to come to camp, will not have to stay away because of a lack of finances.

If you are not already on our teen mailing list, send us your name, complete mailing address, email addresss, telephone number and date of birth and we will add you to our list to receive periodic updates and news.

Sincerely,

Larry S. Watkins, Camp Director

WHY DO WE USE THE HEBREW CALENDAR?

"And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years" (Genesis 1:14-19).

Nothing God gave to man has been used so consistently for the purpose He intended. Every civilization of man has used the sun, the moon, or both for the demarcation of time. More...
